For my final February in-home mini, I got to hang out with the very photogenic Grace in her very photogenic room. Grace is a future photographer and was fascinated by my camera, especially the giant lens on the Leica SL that I was test driving for the day.
I usually shoot Nikon but took advantage of the free #SLTestDrive offered by Leica to see how I felt about the SL, their full-frame mirrorless option. The SL was a nice camera with some great benefits (super quiet, which would be great for newborns, and very sharp) but I'm going to stay with Nikon for now. I love the Nikkor prime lenses so much for shooting kids--they are small and light and don't intrigue the little hands nearly as much a big zoom lens. My Nikon d850 is shipping next week from Amazon and I can't wait to use it at all my Spring sessions!
